Team Skill Competition: Exchanging Forging Craftsmanship

To foster a positive learning environment, the workshop recently organized a small-scale skill competition focused on daily production, covering basic forging and machining processes. The event aims to provide a platform for workers from different teams to exchange skills and learn from each other. With no complicated rules or high-value material rewards, the competition was highly practical and interactive, sparking great enthusiasm among employees, with all on-site technicians actively signing up.

The competition projects are closely aligned with daily work scenarios: the forging team competed in the forming efficiency and dimensional accuracy of square forgings; the machining team competed in two basic processes, external turning and drilling. Judges were senior employees with over ten years of experience in the workshop, and the evaluation criteria followed regular production requirements, with core assessment dimensions including work speed, dimensional control accuracy, and scrap rate. The competition site was lively, with participants showcasing their expertise and onlookers cheering them on.

After the competition, the company prepared practical prizes such as thermos cups, labor protection gloves, and daily care products for the top-ranked workers. Although the prizes were not high in value, they greatly enhanced the employees' sense of participation and honor. More importantly, the competition allowed everyone to clearly recognize each other's strengths and weaknesses: some participants excelled in forging speed but needed improvement in accuracy, while others had precise dimensional control but a slower work pace. After the event, workers took the initiative to gather and exchange techniques, and the top-ranked technicians shared practical experience without reservation. A positive learning atmosphere has now formed in the workshop, with employees learning from each other's experiences, leading to a steady improvement in overall operational skills.
