Forging Enterprises Promote Green Production & Energy Optimization

As the industry's environmental protection and energy saving requirements continue to rise, the green production transformation of forging enterprises has become one of the key development trends in the industry. Recently, based on its actual production conditions, Qingliang Mould has optimized and adjusted the energy consumption management of its forging workshop to advance energy saving and consumption reduction initiatives.

In the forging production process, equipment such as heating furnaces and forging presses are the main energy consumption links. In this optimization, the enterprise adjusted the combustion system of some heating furnaces, optimized combustion parameters, and reduced unnecessary gas consumption. Meanwhile, according to the order production schedule, it reasonably arranges the start-up and shutdown time of equipment to avoid energy waste caused by equipment idling. Energy consumption responsibility zones have also been divided in the workshop, with each team responsible for energy consumption management and control in its own area. For example, the forging team controls the holding time of heating furnaces, and the machining team reasonably arranges tool replacement to reduce energy consumption loss during the machining process.

Frontline employees have also participated in energy saving initiatives. Many employees have put forward practical suggestions based on their daily operation experience, such as optimizing the placement of blanks to reduce the door opening frequency of heating furnaces, and adjusting machining cutting parameters to lower equipment load. These minor adjustments have also delivered tangible energy saving effects in daily production.

Energy saving and consumption reduction in the forging industry cannot be achieved through a one-time transformation; it requires long-term management and optimization. By adjusting equipment operations, refining management, and encouraging employee participation, the enterprise gradually advances green production, which is a routine measure for forging enterprises to adapt to the industry's development requirements.
