Standardized Management of Forging Drawings Improves Production Efficiency
Previously, the workshop faced significant pain points in managing forging and die drawings: paper drawings were randomly placed without fixed storage locations, making retrieval of old drawings time-consuming, often taking an entire morning. Drawings were scattered across technical department drawers, workshop toolboxes, and workers' lockers, leading to frequent loss. When customers revised product requirements, outdated drawings were not promptly recalled, resulting in full batches of scrapped workpieces and production waste.

To address these issues, the factory assigned dedicated personnel to organize all forging and die drawings over one week and issued clear management regulations:
Unified Organization and Numbering
Technicians collected all drawings, verified information sheet by sheet, and reassigned unique numbers. Paper documents were stored in dedicated filing cabinets by product category with clear labels for quick access.
Electronic Archiving and Backup
All drawings were scanned into digital versions and categorized in dedicated computer folders, ensuring both physical and electronic backups.
Strict Issuance and Revision Procedures
A drawing loan registration system was implemented, requiring signatures for checkout and same-day return. After drawing revisions, all outdated versions were recalled and destroyed, with updates synchronized in the work group chat.

Through standardized management, drawing retrieval has become fast and efficient, eliminating scrap caused by drawing errors. Overall workshop production efficiency has significantly improved, and production management is now more orderly and standardized.
