Late at night, the core production equipment No.3 forging press broke down unexpectedly. A batch of urgent customer orders was scheduled for production early the next morning; uncompleted repair would result in liquidated damages and damage to corporate reputation.

Upon receiving the breakdown alert, staff rushed to the factory immediately, with electricians, maintenance technicians and forging workers gathering quickly for troubleshooting. Disassembly inspection confirmed the breakdown was caused by fractured piston rod of balance cylinder, while no spare part was available in warehouse. At the critical moment, maintenance Master Li offered a used piston rod stored at his home which could be modified for installation, and fetched the component by electric scooter without delay.

The team split work to reform parts, assemble and commission the equipment, working nonstop till past 4 a.m. The press was fully restored and passed trial forging successfully.

Though exhausted after an all-night shift, none of the team complained. Watching glowing hot steel billets being forged into qualified blanks, all staff felt fulfilled. United efforts to overcome difficulties have always been the working spirit of Qingliang’s frontline team.
